hey, getting to the end of my build and looking at firmware, what version if recommended for 32nd stepping, 16 Tooth Pulleys and 8mm threaded rod not 5/16″. What is the difference in the code for 8mm vs 5/16″
hows the beta looking is it best to just jump on that???

thanks again for all the work you have all put into this project

yup use the beta, you just need to change the z axis steps per mm.

hey vicious1 thanks for the reply, new to all this… assuming I’m changing line #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {200,200,4535.44,200} // default steps per unit for Ultimaker
did a quick calc via http://prusaprinters.org/calculator/ punched in the details of the 5/16 rod and got 4535.44 (same as beta firmware), then changed to 8mm rod and got 5120.00, is this the value I go with???

    thanks again for the help
