@jeffeb3, that’s a good thought. This design might allow for more asymmetrical flexibility. I don’t know that three rails are necessary on the short axis – especially if you’re only trying to get 2′. However, I did throw out an idea earlier in the thread for a three-conduit rail. That could be used with integrated supports along the Y-axis to achieve the 8′ you’re looking for. As for hanging tools from one side or widening the two rails, I suppose it’s possible, but you get into some other issues countering the stress moments and torque vectors of larger (more powerful) tools. Ryan can probably answer that question better than I can.
