Do you know what an MPCNC is? I really prefer questions to be asked in the forums, the way FB is set up I don't notified of the replies and there have been a few too many wrong answers for my liking. I was hoping this would be more of a show and tell sharing space, not really a troubleshooting advice section.

Correct me if I am mistaken. The only tubes that need to be lightweigth is the X/Y cross member tube? and the Z axis tube?

Does the X axis tube carry the weight of the X axis? or it is shared with the X/Y cross member tube?

Should the pipe be solid cast? I found some steel tubes 2.54 cm. But when I look at the insides of the tube it seems to have a seam line. Like it is a flat thin sheet rolled to make a tube.

Is it any good? Is maybe 1mm thick.

Is there a minimum tube wall thinkness required for MPCNC?

I've got the lowrider cutting and plotting today... Required a bit of calibration with the stepper motors -is this usual? I still don't think the z axis is quite there.

A couple of things seemed strange, the y axis went down to about 100 steps per mm, I'm thinking now that maybe the 32th stepping isn't active? All the jumpers are on the ramps board though.

I'm cutting on a reasonably flat table (table tennis table) but the depth of cut seems to vary from -1mm to +2mm across the x axis - the z axis doesn't lower evenly, or all the way when it is switched off either.

Got some time to vote on a subtle change, or offer some suggestions?
